Athabasca Falls: Sheer Beauty

Athabasca Falls: Sheer Beauty

Traveling through Jasper National Park in Alberta this fall, I was impressed by how accessible the park planners had made Athabasca Falls. I captured some live clips of the falls and put it all together in a little video.

In a fury of sound and spray,
the power of roaring water
meets the trembling earth,
thundering in a timeless battle
that assaults the senses.

Massive quantities of falling roaring water reveals something of the massive grandeur of God.

Filmed on location September 29, 2012

A Love Note from your Aborted Baby

A Love Note from your Aborted Baby: Media Release

COMBERMERE, Ontario, August 15, 2012 (www.peterbaklinski.blogspot.ca) - With millions upon millions of babies whose lives have ended through legalized abortion, there are millions upon millions of post abortive women who are suffering and in anguish because of a ‘choice’ they were told they would never regret. These women are hurting not only for the loss of their motherhood, but even more, for the irreplaceable loss of their son or daughter.

A Love Note from your Aborted Baby, a 5 minute film, seeks to awaken post abortive women to the reality that their baby has not been lost forever, but that each child has an existence in God and is yearning to be reunited to a forgiven and healed mother at the end of life’s journey.

“The death of the baby is only one dimension of the tragedy of abortion,” said Peter Baklinski, director and producer of A Love Note from your Aborted Baby released today on YouTube. “Numerous ministries for post abortive women have seen first-hand how abortion often shatters a woman’s physical, mental, and emotional equilibrium. Abortion not only ends the new life inside the mother’s womb, but it assaults the very core of a woman’s femininity, which has been created to treasure and nurture life.”

“Crafting this film was a part of my own spiritual journey, the fruit of my prayer to God to give me a love for people, a love for my neighbor. People have often told me that I have a gift for touching people with my music. So, I began to experience a desire to reach out through my music to women hurting from abortion.”

“What led me to craft the film was my desire to reach out to post abortive women. We are all ultimately responsible for one another and these hurting women are my sisters.”

“This film has ministered to me,” said Angelina Steenstra of Silent No More Awareness Campaign. After an abortion in her mid teens, Steenstra journeyed through 14 years of substance abuse, sexual promiscuity, and workaholism before she was able to come to grips with her abortion and discover healing.

“It’s the mercy and the gentleness of the film that will draw people in,” she said. “At one point, I just closed my eyes and felt Baklinski’s music touch my heart. I felt, through the music, this moment of intimacy with my lost children.”

A Love Note from your Aborted Baby was crafted using elements from Elizabeth Szeremeta’s mystical account of what happens to a baby’s soul after abortion, from Carol Hall’s painting Earth’s Trash-Heaven’s Treasure, and from John Paul II’s encyclical Evangelium Vitae

“Baklinski has taken one person’s painting, another person’s encounter with Christ in a mystical vision, the image of Divine Mercy, words spoken by John Paul II, the gift of music that God has given him, and he has woven a beautiful tapestry with all these different threads,” said Steenstra.

Melanie Murphy, former director of a crisis pregnancy center in Tempe, Arizona, said that “Baklinski’s film — with the pictures, the music, and the words — tells a story of mercy that I hope all post abortive women can both hear and accept.”

“What I appreciate most about this film is its kindness. It has managed to achieve something very difficult: it has maintained the delicate balance between acknowledging the horror and tragedy inherent in the choice of abortion, all the while inviting the post abortive woman into the very real mercy and healing that God wants to offer them, and that their baby fervently wishes them to accept.”

Murphy, who has grieved alongside post abortive women, says that she has witnessed the harm abortion causes to a woman’s “body, mind, soul, and spirit.”

“In order to cope, many women harden their hearts and go into a form of denial. When they start to face the reality of what they have done, the pain, the shame, and the self-hatred can be overwhelming. The temptation to despair can be great. A woman in this kind of shame and despair is in darkness.”

Murphy pointed out that A Love Note from your Aborted Baby “shines light” into the darkness encountered by women after abortion.

“The film does not dismiss or minimize the very real pain, grief, and violent evil that she has experienced and participated in. The film penetrates into the situation of the post abortive woman. She is known. She is loved. By the end of the film, the woman has been invited back into relationship by the very one she longs for and fears, the child she has aborted.”

Baklinski prays and hopes that his film “speaks eloquently” of the healing that is available to post abortive women.

“It is my hope that post abortive women who view A Love Note from your Aborted Baby will find the courage to face what happened honestly and so begin the difficult but beautiful journey toward forgiveness and healing,” he said.

Earth's Trash - Heaven's Treasure

Earth's Trash - Heaven's Treasure
by Carol Hall, 1993

Explanation of the painting provided by Priest's for Life:

"In the alley of this abortion facility, God's angels retrieve precious living souls. They are joined by many other angels from all the alleys of the world.

Each angel is holding a precious baby, wrapped in yellow blankets. On earth the unborn babies were wrapped in plastic bags, but now they are wrapped in God's glory. On earth they were trash, but to Heaven, they are treasure."

'This aborted baby has a message for you'

'This aborted baby has a message for you': Elizabeth Szeremeta’s vision

Note: The following is a transcription of Elizabeth Szeremeta’s mystical experience that she had of Jesus and an aborted baby on August 16, 2005 in Rawdon, Quebec, Canada. The account was emailed to me by Elizabeth.

On August 16, 2005, a little after 10pm, I was at home in Rawdon, Quebec, Canada. Suddenly I noticed that the light in the dining room, where I was seated at the table, began to get brighter and brighter. In my spirit, I knew that soon Heaven would come down to earth.

I waited. Jesus came.

I have read the accounts of Sister Faustina, a Polish nun who saw and described Jesus. The wonderful Jesus that I saw fit her description, except he was more golden, more glorious. His hair had brilliant highlights. Surrounding him were minuscule particles of gold dust, which danced in the air around him.

Jesus began to speak. He said he was holding an aborted embryo in his hand. He let me see a close-up of this embryo, as if I were looking through a magnifying glass, so that I could scrutinize all the details.

I had a moment of uneasiness. This embryo had neither arms nor legs. There were no details which resembled a baby. All I could see was two cells fused together. Each cell had a darker spot. I was made to understand that this spot was the door through which one could enter in,  in order to obtain all the details on the future development of the baby.

Here is an excerpt of our conversation:

Jesus said, "This aborted baby has a message for you."

I said, "Jesus, why are you speaking to me in French? You know I understand English or Polish better."

Jesus said, "This message is destined for French-speaking people."

Suddenly, I realized I had perfect mastery of the French language. I was thrilled.
Jesus said, “Take a pen and paper to write the message and the music.”

The Baby embryo said to me, "I am a baby who is now living in heaven, along with thousands upon thousands of other babies who are growing up with me. Together we wrote a letter to our mothers, who are still living on Earth."

I asked, "Why did you choose me to deliver this message? I have never experienced an abortion."

Jesus answered, "Because you are able to write music."

Baby embryo answered also, "We like you because you know rejection, as we knew it, while we were on earth."

Then I started to take down the song, as the baby dictated it to me, phrase by phrase, note by note. I noticed that I could take all the time in the world for the job to be well done. No one was in a hurry. When I was finished, I asked some more questions.

I asked, "Jesus, why did you choose this embryo, in particular, to deliver this message?"

Jesus answered, "Because it was the youngest."

I was made to understand that right from the moment of conception, one is already a person.

I asked, "Is this embryo a girl or a boy?"

Jesus said, "I won't answer that question. This embryo represents all of the aborted girls and boys who are now growing up in heaven."

I asked, "Does the baby have a name? If not, may I give it a name?"

Jesus answered, "No, a special grace will accompany this song each time it will be sung. I will let all mothers of aborted babies, who listen to this song know how many girls, how many boys, they have rejected. If they repent and decide to consecrate their lives to me, I will give these mothers an opportunity to choose themselves the names for their aborted children."

I said, "So this baby is waiting for its real mother to pick a name for him?"

Jesus answered, "You have understood correctly. This song will be sung here and there, all over the world."

I said, “Why is there no mention of the Virgin Mary in this song? I do not wish to imply that the song is not beautiful. But, you understand, I find myself in a very Catholic environment. Surely someone will ask me this question.”

Jesus answered, “All our attention is focused on the biological mother of each baby. Often, these mothers cannot understand that I love them, that I want to forgive all sins. No one can console the mothers. So these babies took this initiative to speak directly to their mothers’ hearts, with no distraction. At times, mothers are a little rebellious … One wouldn’t want a rebellious mother to be tempted to say: ‘You already have a Mother in heaven. You don’t need me.’ In truth, we all need each other.”

I said, “Do you have other messages and other songs destined for Poles or a english speaking people?”

Jesus said, “I have a particular plan for each corner of the world.

I looked at the time. It was not yet midnight. The song was written, the message also. I could see that the time had come for the baby to go back to heaven. No one said to me ‘Till next time’ nor ‘Good night’. I knew that the next morning, I had work to do. It was necessary for me to rewrite everything neatly, so that everyone would be able to understand my handwriting.

[…]

Also, I know that in Heaven there is a library which contains inspired songs, predestined to be delivered to chosen people on earth, at specific times.

Jesus made me understand that the song composed by the aborted babies was not found among the songs in the library. This song is a recent effort, unique, exceptional.

My Dearest Mommy

Taught to Elizabeth Szeremeta during her vision by an aborted baby

My dearest Mommy, I am your own child.
God gave me to you, but then you aborted me.
I see you crying your heart out for me,
And I am telling you that I love you,
Oh Mom, I love you.

My dearest Mommy, as I watch from Heaven,
I want to say, that I love you so much,
And at the end of life's journey,
I want you to come and live
in Heaven with me.

My dearest Mommy, up in my Heavenly home,
The strong arms of Jesus
hold me with such great love.
I see the splendor and
Joy of all the saints
We're all so glad
that we can
live here forever.

My Dearest Mommy
Jesus does understand
He wants to forgive and to
Give you His peace and His joy.
Open your heart, give your whole life to Him
And when you do, you'll see,
You will be happy.
